Page 23 states that "anonymous representations cannot be accepted." I think this could be misleading as we recently changed this and now do accept anonymous comments from the public.

It would be helpful if the revised document includes a specific section on the Duty to Co-operate and how this will be met, including details of the relevant authorities and organisations that will be consulted

Firstly, we were disappointed to note that the consultation does not provide a link to, or a downloadable copy of, the form that you say can be used to respond, and we feel that this should always be available for all development plan consultations even if you would prefer on-line responses.
Our comments on the SCI itself are as follows:
1. One of the general standards is to "make sure consultation material is accessible and interactive to encourage people to comment or to be prompted to discuss". We consider that this is particularly important with local plans and the public should be able to locate the draft plan with ease on the website rather than having to navigate through a number of different screens to reach it. Also, responses to local plan consultations should be accepted by letter or email as well as on the form provided.

2. The key points in the draft local plan which the public are likely to be mainly interested in should be clearly flagged up eg housing need/target, effect on Green Belt, rather than someone having to wade through complex text to arrive at these.
We would be grateful if these comments could be taken into account.

Respondent: Canal and River Trust
The Trust is a statutory consultee for planning applications, and we would request that the Council encourage applicants to contact us to seek pre-application advice on sites close to the canal.
